The success story of Volz started in 1966 when Manfred Volz founded the company together with his wife, Ella. In 1996 the implementation of his own high engineered production plant for nonwoven materials saw an entrepreneurial vision come true. Today more than 500 employees achieve increasing volumes in a production area of approx 65,000m².
| 1966 | Manfred Volz started his company in Böblingen and specialized in the construction and sales of paint-booth cabins and air filters. |
| 1973 | He moved into new production facilities in Horb-Bildechingen. |
| 1993 | The manufacturing area was increased in several stages up to 5,000 sqm and filters for air conditioning and ventilation were added to to the product range. |
| 1996 | Completion of the 1st section of the new factory II. The first plant for nonwoven materials started its production. |
| 1997 | 2nd section with a total production area of 10.000 sqm was completed. |
| 1999 | Due to constant product extensions and rising turnover figures volz was able to build the factory III with a further manufacturing area of 10.000 sqm. |
| 2002 | The new factory IV with its Paint-stop-plant was opened in May by the environmental and transport minister Ulrich Müller. So Volz Filters gained another 10.000 sqm to a total of 35.000 sqm. |
| 2003 | Opening of factory V with further 5.000 sqm manufacturing and storage area. |

company’s name changed to Volz Luftfilter GmbH & Co. KG with 2
directors: Manfred Volz and Rainer Volz |
| 2005 | Creation of the new logo VOLZ FILTERS and our claim “protect your air”. |
| 2005 | November: Manfred Volz receives a medal from the Federal Republic of Germany state Baden-Wuerttemberg for "outstanding entrepreneuiral performance” |
| 2006 | January: Volz Filters start production in the UK - “Volz Filters UK Ltd.” in Manchester with around 25 staff and approx 3.500sqm of production. |
| 2006 | March: Volz Filters receives the “Bestpractice - IT Special Award” on the Cebit exhibition in Hannover. |
| Today | Volz Filters has a manufacturing area of 60.000sqm in Germany. With around 500 staff working in 7 plants in Horb. |
